Welcome to a day in my life where you can learn a little bit more about me. I am sorry if the title makes you cringe but it fits this post well, I promise.
You probably know by now that I am a student at some college here in America but I will share with you more today. I am currently a senior here at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. I am studying Public Relation which is proving to not be quite as a challenge as I had thought. However, it does keep me on my toes.
The other side of me that you see me on this blog is a kitchen lover. I love everything kitchen-related. I could get lost in the kitchen tools section for hours if you let me wander. People who are close to me know this well enough to not let me spend too much time in TJ Maxx (my heaven on Earth). I also enjoy cooking and baking for every day meals as well as special occasions.
What’s so different about these two sides of me, you ask? I am both of these on a daily basis. I am student at school, and a kitchen lover when I am home. Except I enjoy being kitchen lover so much more sometimes. School work is not an easy task to deal with but everyone knows that.
At school, I have to follow all the rules and regulation. I have to pay attention to lectures, and assignments. In my kitchen however, I am the boss. I am in command of my own kitchen where the rules are set by me. That kind of freedom is addicting if you know what I mean.
As a student, I don’t have to worry about what to do. That’s why there are professors to guide me through four years of college. They are there to teach me about the unknown and prepare me for the world. College is an exciting environment to be in. I get to learn something new every day, and I enjoy every minute of it.
From time to time, I thought about going to culinary school before but that thought quickly vanished right after. I am not adventurous enough to become a chef. I have an appreciation for creation of food, especially those that required a lot of skills. I am too picky to actually try something out of my comfort zone to see what it’s supposed to taste like. I do want to improve my culinary skills sometimes down the road though. For now, I will just be a self-learned cook, and kitchen lover.
Overall, these two sides of me coexist pretty well together. At one point or the other, one side seems to get the upper hand but I enjoy being both. So what side of yourself do you like more?
